Awards

The Florida Press Association named Florida Weekly the winner of five awards in its "Better Newspapers" contest for 2007. Competing for the first time, Florida Weekly won for front page design in-depth reporting, environmental reporting, humorous column and community history.
Closer to home, the Alliance for the Arts named Florida Weekly the "Arts Publication of the Year" and writer Nancy Stetson "Arts Journalist of the Year" in its "Angels of the Arts 2008" awards.
