Kottkamp to speak at local event "Do the right thing" awards banquet Saturday

The 12th annual "Do the Right Thing" Regional Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, June 23 at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers beginning at 5:30 p.m. This year's Keynote Speaker will be Lt. Gov., Jeff Kottkamp.

During this event, 10 outstanding children from Collier, Lee and Charlotte Counties will be honored for their accomplishments. Also during this program, the winner of the EMBARQ/Do the Right Thing Scholarship will be introduced. This scholarship, administered through the Florida Prepaid College Plan, consists of a 4-year University Tuition Plan worth over $10,000.
