Downtown focus of Cape meeting

The next Cape Coral Council for Progress meeting will be held Friday, July 13, at Gulf Coast Village, located at 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral.

Breakfast and networking opportunities begin at 7 a.m. and the program will begin at 7:30 a.m.

The meeting is open to the public, and is free for members and $15 for non-members.

Keynote speakers will include members of The Cape Downtown Developer's Alliance, who will outline the organization's formation, short and long-term goals, as well as current and future projects in regards to Downtown Cape Coral. The Alliance has had a significant impact on the revitalization of Downtown Cape Coral, which is being expanded to include a mixed-use development district.

The Cape Coral Council for Progress is the private sector's arm for economic development in the City of Cape Coral. The Council for Progress is an active, goal-oriented organization, composed of business owners, managers and residents directed toward strengthening and diversifying the economy and the quality of life in Cape Coral.
