Real estate development workshop planned
An experienced investor/developer, a planning expert, and Lee County staff - all familiar with Southwest Florida's current economic climate - will present tips for mastering the land development approval process at a Real Estate Investment Society workshop. The half-day program is open to the public and takes place Sept. 18 at Pelican Preserve Town Center in Fort Myers.
The REIS workshop, "Mastering the Land Development Approval Process in Southwest Florida," will provide practical knowledge for investors, landowners, and professionals in real estate investment and development. The speakers will review the professional services and agencies involved, along with insight on costs and time frames, and tips for expediting the process. A panel of industry and government experts will address questions from attendees. Workshop materials will include samples of documents, and information on regulatory agencies.
The half-day workshop will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Magnolia Room at Pelican Preserve, on Colonial Boulevard one mile east of I-75 exit 136, in Fort Myers. Admission is $50 for REIS members and $100 for all other interested persons. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
