FineMark's corporate headquarters underway

FineMark National Bank & Trust recently broke ground on its new national corporate headquarters in Riverwalk at Whiskey Creek, located just north of College Parkway off of Winkler Road in Fort Myers.

Initially, the new office is expected to open with 25 employees. FineMark will occupy all of the first floor and most of the second floor.

In addition to housing its full array of banking and trust services and a drivethru for clients, the 20,000-square-foot, two-story building will contain Fine- Mark's corporate offices. The interior architecture is designed to reflect the style of the late Frank Lloyd Wright, one of the world's most prominent and influential architects. The headquarters building will also feature a first floor community room with seating for 120 clients or guests to enjoy the bank's educational, cultural and community service activities. The facility will house a full time food and beverage manager.

"Our signature building will be a significant addition to the College Parkway financial corridor," said President and CEO Joseph Catti. "The prime location in Riverwalk will enable us to continue to serve the medical community and provide convenient access for all clients in Fort Myers, Cape Coral and the barrier islands.

Bruce Gora of Gora McGahey designed the building, and Owen-Ames-Kimball is the general contractor. Construction will be complete in early 2008. ¦
