Goodwill holding open house

Goodwill Industries and Southwest Florida GWI Housing is holding an open house and ribbon cutting for The Pines HUD Housing Project located at 1961 Queen Street in North Ft. Myers. The ribbon cutting will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday Aug. 23.

The Pines feature 14 unfurnished one and two bedroom apartments, a laundry facility, and a community room. The Pines has hurricane strength glass and a generator in case power goes out.

This is Goodwill's 10th housing project in Southwest Florida.

Goodwill Industries serves the five county area of Southwest Florida. Revenue from the sale of donations is used to support employment programs and services for people with disabilities and other disadvantages. ¦
