Local gym raising money for research
FLORIDA WEEKLY STAFF REPORT

A local women's gym will kick off fundraising efforts to benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation on Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.

The event is called Bunco for Breast Cancer and is being organized by the Fort Myers Contours Express. The event involves luck, dice and prizes.

"Our members are a tight knit group brought together with the common goal to lose weight, build lean muscle mass and increase bone density ," said Brandy Mundo, owner of the Contours Express in Fort Myers. "Now, we share another mission together - to help rid the world of breast cancer."

The BUNCO event is expected to attract current members and their friends to these fun parties. Each participant will make a donation to play, which will be matched by the Contours Express Corporate office and submitted directly to the Foundation for research.

"Contours Express is very proud to be partnering with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and supporting it's efforts to find a cure in our lifetime by providing critical funding for research," said Bill Helton, president of Contours Express. "We know that our club members and their friends will join us in our fight against breast cancer."

Traditionally, most Bunco groups consist of 12 players (usually women) who have a desire for social interaction, and a sense of neighborhood and community.

Fort Myers Contours Express is located at 11600 Gladiolus Dr., Suite 314. For more information, contact Brandy Mundo at (239) 275-3333. ¦
