Hospital employees earn awards
Lee Memorial Health System announced this year's recipients of the Doc Coggins Award of Excellence. Twelve award winners were selected from the system's hospitals, outpatient centers, physician offices and ancillary services. The selections are based upon the employee's demonstrated commitment to the hospital system goals of quality, service, community, people and finance.
This prestigious award was introduced in 2003 to honor exceptional employees. It is the highest formal award given to LMHS staff and is named in honor of Lester "Doc" Coggins, a community leader and former LMHS board member.
"My sincerest congratulations go to all of the "Doc Coggins" winners," said Dr. John Donaldson, Chairman, Board of Directors, Lee Memorial Health System. "These individuals share the spirit and dedication of the man in whose memory this award was created."
