Win a Cadillac at Canterbury golf classic

A hole-in-one could win a lucky golfer a brand new Cadillac at the Canterbury School Cougar Golf Classic on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Mediterra, a Tom Fazio designed 18- hole championship course.

The event will fund Canterbury's scholarship and financial aid program, which, in turn, benefits 18 percent of students at the school with more than $1 million in aid.

The modified scramble with four-person teams begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 am. Anyone making a hole-in-one at a designated hole will win a luxurious 2007 Cadillac courtesy of Val Ward Cadillac, the tournament's major sponsor.

Participants will receive a golfer goody bag, lunch, green fees, the use of a cart, oncourse beverages and lunch. Prizes will be awarded all par 3 and par 5 holes. Entry fee is $175. The school is also offering golf packages and hole sponsorships.

The tourney will include an auction and raffle with many great items including golf clubs, a Hummer bicycle and golf packages. Register by Oct. 1 by calling the development office at Canterbury School at 481- 4323, ext. 222. ¦
