The Crowne Plaza Hotel at Bell Tower announced that Karen Oliveira, meetings director for the hotel, has earned her official certification as a Certified Meeting Profes- sional from the Convention Industry Council. This prestigious credential demonstrates an individual's comprehensive knowledge of, responsibility and accountability for successful meetings management. The CMP credential process consists of an extensive application and written examination prior to awarding the certification. Candidates must have at least three years of employment in the meetings industry to qualify. Oliveira is one of only a few industry professionals with this accreditation in Southwest Florida.
