Junior Achievement has elected William Price, Jr., senior vice president of leasing and property management for McGarvey Development Company, to the 2007-2008 Junior Achievement of Southwest Florida Board of Directors. As a board member, Price will provide leadership and support for Junior Achievement programs, fulfilling its mission to educate young people in Southwest Florida about business, economics and free enterprise. At McGarvey Development, Price oversees leasing and property management. He also is responsible for the internal management of the McGarvey portfolio of office and industrial properties, which currently exceeds 1.5 million square feet. Brian Sabean recently joined Florida Lifestyle Homes of Fort Myer's Florida's financial division to serve as controller. Sabean brings 35 years of experience in accounting, insurance and real estate transactions. His experience includes working for both Fortune 5 and Fortune 500 companies. As Florida Lifestyle Homes' controller, Brian is responsible for proper recording and reporting of all financial transactions, budgeting and financial planning for the business of today and the future. Butch McGovern, manager of NuCape Construction Company, a division of Owen-Ames-Kimball Company, has completed his recertification as a Healthcare Construction Contractor by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering, a subsidiary of the American Hospital Association. To obtain this certification, applicants must successfully complete a course to prove commitment and desire to improve awareness, knowledge and understanding of the healthcare construction environment, and ultimately improve the quality of patient care. J.L. Wallace Inc. has promoted Dennis Tyeryar to general superintendent. In his new position Tyeryar is responsible for managing project superintendents, jobsite safety, scheduling and subcontractor coordination and management. Prior to his promotion, Tyeryar served as a superintendent for more than a year at J.L. Wallace. Tyeryar has more than 30 years experience in the construction industry, including owning and operating a residential and commercial construction company for 20 years.
