Crews have closed the intersection at Lee Street and Second Street for the City of Fort Myers Downtown Utility and Streetscape Improvements Project. This intersection is expected to be closed for 3-5 months while crews perform underground utility work.

Motorists may use First Street or Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard (east/ west) and Royal Palm Avenue, Jackson Street or Monroe Street (north/south) to access the downtown area. Pedestrians will be able to cross Lee Street at the south side of Second Street or at First Street.

This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather and unforeseen underground conditions, etc.
