They've championed the arts and cared for the sick. They've founded retail giants and established a world-class education center in a new town. They are omnipresent trailblazers using their talents and passions to shape and improve our communities. They are Gulfshore Life's seven Men & Women of the Decade:
Myra Janco Daniels, founder CEO and chairman of the Philharmonic Center for the Arts;
Nancy and Bill Lascheid, founders of Naples' Neighborhood Health Clinic;
Jim Nathan, president and CEO of Lee Memorial Health System;
Marvin and Helene Gralnick, founders of Chico's FAS Inc.; and
Tom Monaghan, founder of Ave Maria University.
These movers and shakers join an elite group of more than 130 former Men & Women of the Year, named every November for the past 10 years. The November issue of Gulfshore Life- on newsstands everywhere this week- spotlights this year's seven honorees and their formidable achievements, and local leaders take a special look back at how Southwest Florida has evolved during the last decade.
