Local fine art photographer Carol Orr Hartman's image. "Night Flight- Rubicon," was selected in a juried competition for display at the von Liebig Art Center in Naples.
The canvas diptych image was taken by Hartman as she and her pilot husband Bruce we about to land their Cessna at Page Field airport in Fort Myers. The image is of the Rubicon canal in Cape Coral.
Hartman is a regular contributor to Florida Weekly.
The von Liebig Art Center organizes an exciting series of professionally curated, juried and invitational exhibitions in the center's six, museum-quality galleries, the Frederick O. Watson Gallery, four Galleries in the Round and the Minnesota Lobby Gallery. These changing exhibitions are scheduled throughout the year and are available free and open to the public during gallery hours 10 am to 4 pm, Monday through Saturday.
Contemporary works of art by emerging and established Florida and nationally recognized artists are featured and include painting, sculpture, works on paper, photography, mixed media and interactive installations. This series is designed to provide the viewer with an enriching and educational visual arts experience while promoting the diverse talents of artists working today.
