Edison College eyeing high schools on campus
Pilot project first in Charlotte

      Edison College could prove popular with parents by establishing an on campus collegiate high school, local education professionals said. The under-consideration pilot program could allow 100 students to earn associate's degrees while they gain high school diplomas next year in Punta Gorda.

Addiction service set to break ground on new detox center
      Construction of the first new detoxification center to be built in Lee County in more than 50 years will begin Thurs., Feb. 28, when Southwest Florida Addiction Services officially breaks ground for a new 40-bed Detoxification Center and Outpatient Treatment Center.
