Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida named Carolyn Curtis and Steven Cunningham Big Sister and Big Brother of the Year at its annual meeting last week. The reception at the Bonita Springs Elks Lodge was hosted by FOX-4's Patrick Nolan.

Big Brother of the Year/Collier County - Norman Hinspeter (Little Brother - Nick)
Big Sister of the Year/Lee County - Carolyn Curtis (Little Sisters - Victoria & Tracy)
Big Brother of the Year/Lee County - Steven Cunningham (Little Brother - Jordan)

Site of the Year for Outstanding Recognition Collier County: Timber Ridge Community Center (Operated by Immokalee Non-Profit Housing)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is currently the largest provider of one-to-one youth mentoring services in the United States. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Florida, a United Way Agency, has been bringing caring adults into the lives of children for more than 30 years. They serve children in Lee and Collier counties, and currently have close to 500 mentoring matches. More than 50 additional children are waiting to be matched, so there is always a need for new mentors.
