The Southwest Florida Symphony will pay homage to Italy at 8 p.m. on March 21-22 at Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall when Maestro Michael Hall conducts "Jewels of Italy."
Sun-drenched landscapes, vivacious people and a walk in the countryside are reflected in the pieces to be performed including Respighi's glorious "Pines of Rome."
The repertoire also includes Verdi's "La Forza del Destino Overture," Mendelssohn's Symphony #4 "Italian" and Puccini's Crisantemi "Chrysanthemums" as well as the Pines of Rome.
