The Florida International AirShow is this weekend
The Florida International AirShow is this Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6 at the Charlotte County Airport. This air show will celebrate 28 years of family oriented entertainment and aviation education for Southwest Floridians. Gates open at 9 a.m. with the first scheduled shows at 10.
The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will make their seventh trip to Southwest Florida for the air show. And, for the 11th time the US Army Golden Knights will kick off each show with their dramatic "Flag Jump".
Also returning to this years show is Hall of Fame pilot Patty Wagstaff. Patty is a six-time member of the US Aerobatic Team, she has won the gold, silver and bronze medals in Olympic-level international aerobatic competition and is the first woman to win the title of US National Aerobatic champion.
Some of the highlights include: Flag Jump, Fly-By, Fred Cabanas - P-51 Demo, Red Bull Air Force, Patty Wagstaff, U.S. Army Golden Knights Jump Team, Todd Stuart - T-6 Texan, Red Bull Helicopter, Gary Ward - MX2, the Trojan Horseman - six T-28's, Military Flight Demos with: Heritage Flight, F-15 Strike Eagle Demo, B-25 Demo (DAV), "Wall-o- Fire" and the headliners; the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the gate. Children 2-12 cost $5. Parking is free.
