Big Cypress Market Place makes list of places to visit

The state tourism bureau has named Big Cypress Market Place as one of 40 great places to visit in Florida.

The Market Place was included in VisitFlorida's list of "Forty Ways to Play in Florida," published in the spring issue of Travel + Leisure Family and the April issue of Travel + Leisure magazines. The list also was published on the www.HostelTraveler. com web site.

Big Cypress Market Place will open in early summer on the East Tamiami Trail. It features an air-conditioned flea market with more than 140 vendors; a Tiki bar and produce market; a winery offering domestic, international and made-on-premise wines; a two-story food arena with eight restaurants, an entertainment stage and secondfloor mezzanine; a sports lounge and slots parlor; and brick patios for outdoor dining.

"We are thrilled to be included on this prestigious list," said Keith Basik, president of Basik Development LLC, the builder and owner of Big Cypress Market Place. "The Market Place definitely will be one of the most exciting and fun places in Florida."

Big Cypress Market Place is a Basik Development LLC project on U.S. 41 four miles east of Collier Boulevard (S.R. 951). Opening in early summer, it will feature 90,000-square-feet under air for a flea market, food arena, winery, Tiki bar, produce market and trade show area. Vendor and event center leasing information is available at (239) 262-3210 or online at www.BigCypressMarketPlace.com.
