New college to host first open house April 24 Rasmussen College, new to Fort Myers, will host its first open house on Thursday, April 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. at its main campus at 9160 Forum Corporate Parkway, just east of interstate 75 and Colonial Boulevard. The new, 18,000 square foot campus will be open to the community for tours. In addition, interested applicants can meet with Admissions Representatives, learn about financial aid opportunities, enter to win prizes, and more. The new Fort Myers campus began enrolling students on April 7, and is now ready to show the community its top medical lab, digital design studio, gaming room, and more. Rasmussen College is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a private college with more than 100 years of experience in higher education. With the addition of the Fort Myers campus, Rasmussen College now totals 14 campuses- two other campuses are in Florida. The Fort Myers campus of Rasmussen College will offer career-focused Associate's and Bachelor's degrees in its school of Technology and Design, School of Business, School of Allied Health, and School of Justice Studies. The campus will offer classes during the day, evening and online. "This open house is an opportunity for us to formally open our doors to the community of Fort Myers," Campus Director Eric Whitehouse said. "We are dedicated to serving the needs of Fort Myers, Lehigh Acres, Cape Coral and our other surrounding communities, and we are happy to invite them all in to our new home."
