'Kid's Day on the Bay' this weekend
Beach fundraiser benefits schools and students

Salty Sam's Marina and Parrot Key Caribbean Grill will host "Kid's Day on the Bay," a fundraiser to benefit area middle and elementary schools, on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m..

On the grounds of Salty Sam's Marina, the event features police and fire demonstrations, clowns and magicians, carnival games, make a "Mother's Day Card" construction station, face painting, Segway rides and may other activities.

There will also be live music for all ages, performances by the Lexington Middle School Jazz Band, adult games such as a dunk tank and football throw, a silent auction and lots of food.

The U.S. Coast Guard will also have vessel sel docked at the marina for tours.

Proceeds from "Kid's Day on the Bay" benefits Beach Elementary School, and Cypress Lake and Lexington middle schools.
